In GGRE’s tree nursery, we cultivate over 10,000 tree seedlings every year. Several varieties of fruit and other beneficial trees, both native and non-native, are helping reforest the area. GGRE also hosts tree plants at schools and churches.
In the summer of 2016, First Presbyterian Church of Jeffersonville, Indiana raised funds to open a tree nursery on the grounds of the Africa Inland Church’s bishop’s office in Kisumu, Kenya.
By the end of the summer, the tree nursery was up and running. It has been expanding since then, growing shade trees and fruit trees to plant on the grounds of area churches, schools, hospitals, and homes, supplying more than 10,000 seedlings every year.
